Garlic bread is always a “must have” and is a bread of my family’s choice, especially my niece Dylan. I swear that if her parents would allow it, she would eat nothing else every day. We serve it mostly on Sundays and on special occasion. Its quick, easy and delicious.

INGREDIENTS

1 french baguette 3 garlic cloves 3 tablespoons of unsalted butter softened 1 tablespoon organic olive oil 1 tablespoon chopped fresh Italian parsley Salt to taste

DIRECTIONS

Cut baguette on the diagonal about half inch thickness. Blend garlic to a smooth paste with a little salt in a mortar and pestle. Add olive oil and butter. Blend together and add parsley. Microwave for 30 seconds to completely melt mixture. Brush both sides of baguette and place on a single layer on an oiled baking pan. Set oven temperature on grill (broil). Place baking tray on highest shelf in oven. Carefully watch the baguettes, about 1 minute. Remove pan from oven and flip over baguettes for another minute. Can be served hot from the oven or after. Enjoy!
